Abstract: This study investigates the employment outcomes, training relevance, and satisfaction levels among graduates of Arusha Technical College (ATC), Tanzania, with a specific focus on the employability of female graduates. Utilizing a descriptive survey design, data were collected from 586 graduates (88% response rate) from the 2022/2023 academic year across various technical and engineering disciplines. Findings reveal significant gender disparities: six months post-graduation, male graduates exhibited higher rates of formal (31.4%) and self-employment (13.6%) compared to females (15.4% formal, 9.6% self-employment). A substantial proportion of female graduates (42.3%) pursued further academic studies, suggesting a strategic response to enhance employability. The study highlights the critical role of practical training, online job platforms, and personal networks in securing employment, predominantly in the public sector. Challenges include limited access to startup capital for self-employed graduates and pedagogical issues within TVET programs. Recommendations emphasize gender-responsive curriculum reform, enhanced industry linkages, targeted entrepreneurial support for women, and improved graduate services to foster more equitable labor market integration for female TVET graduates in Tanzania.

Abstract: Sewing entrepreneurship is a key element of the informal economy in Tanzania, generating employment and livelihoods, especially among women and youth. However, poor marketing potential has constrained the growth and competitiveness of sewing entrepreneurs in Dodoma City. The paper examines how enhancing marketing potential through branding, customer relationship management, pricing, and e-marketing can foster the growth of sewing entrepreneurs. Using a mixed-methods approach, sewing entrepreneurs were interviewed and surveyed to gather data. The findings suggest that, although entrepreneurs recognize the importance of marketing, they are faced with limitations such as low knowledge levels, low digital literacy, and low access to promotion channels. Entrepreneurs who employed basic methods such as interaction with customers and social media usage reported an increase in visibility and sales. The study concludes that the development of marketing capabilities through training, digital technologies, and support initiatives can significantly improve the growth and sustainability of sewing businesses in urban Tanzania. Hence, practical recommendations are given to policy makers, business support organizations, and development partners who aim to empower micro and small-scale sewing entrepreneurs.

Abstract: This research explores the increasing importance of entrepreneurial mindsets within Tanzanian corporate organizations, focusing on how organizational culture influences innovation and adaptability. In a rapidly evolving global economy, corporations must move beyond traditional business models to foster creativity, agility, and proactive problem-solving. This study investigates the extent to which Tanzanian corporations are integrating entrepreneurial thinking into their operational strategies and cultural frameworks. The research highlights that adopting an entrepreneurial mindset is no longer optional but a strategic necessity for firms aiming to remain competitive. It examines key factors such as leadership styles, risk tolerance, employee empowerment, and openness to change, all of which play pivotal roles in promoting innovation and corporate entrepreneurship. Through qualitative and quantitative analysis including interviews, surveys, and case studies the study identifies both opportunities and challenges faced by Tanzanian companies. Findings reveal that while some corporations are successfully embedding entrepreneurial values, others are constrained by rigid hierarchies, fear of failure, and limited innovation ecosystems. This research contributes to the broader discourse on corporate entrepreneurship in developing economies, providing practical recommendations for Tanzanian firms. It suggests that fostering a supportive organizational culture, promoting continuous learning, and incentivizing innovation are critical for achieving sustainable growth and competitiveness in the modern business landscape.

Abstract: This study explores the contribution of community-driven financial technology (Fin- Tech) models to sustainable development in Western Kenya, a region where rural entrepreneurs face persistent barriers to financial access. Weak infrastructure, limited credit opportunities, and low digital literacy have restricted growth, deepened inequality, and slowed progress toward inclusive development. Anchored in the Sustainable Development Goals poverty re-duction (SDG 1), decent work and economic growth (SDG 8), and innovation and infrastructure (SDG 9) the research investigates how localized financial innovations can enhance resilience and opportunity. A mixed methods design was employed. Surveys were conducted with 200 entrepreneurs, alongside 20 interviews with community financial leaders, and a review of six technology-enabled finance initiatives. Qualitative data were analyzed thematically using NVivo, while quantitative results were processed in SPSS to identify trends and patterns. The findings show that mobile-accessible platforms remain the most preferred financing option in Western Kenya, especially those that do not rely on collateral. Nonetheless, persistent challenges include low trust in formal financial institutions and limited digital literacy. The study concludes that localized FinTech solutions—such as digital savings groups, USSD-based microfinance systems, and credit-scoring innovations hold significant potential for promoting inclusion and resilience in the region. It recommends stronger public–private collaboration, targeted digital literacy programs, and the creation of county-level FinTech hubs to scale innovation, strengthen entrepreneurship, and align community finance with sustainable development goals.

Abstract: The study examines the influence of youth entrepreneurship training on the loan repayment behavior of beneficiaries of the Youth Enterprise Development Fund (YEDF) in Tharaka North Sub-County, Tharaka County, Kenya. Descriptive research design was adopted. Youth groups were selected through multistage and randomization. The YEDF officials were purposively identified. Observation and interviews were used in data collection. Structured questionnaire, Focus Group Discuss and Key Informants’ Guides were used during key informant discussions. Group Lending and Social Traits Theories were applied. Statistical Package for Social Sciences, v. 24 was used to analyze quantitative data, while thematic review was ideal for qualitatively assessing emerging themes from descriptive information data sets. The study found that besides being trained, 46% of youth groups slowly declined loan repayments which eventually affected future sustainability of the overall fund stability. The study concludes that Youth groups ought to be tracked to remit repayments consistently each month, instead of just perceiving financial management training as an end to itself. It concludes that while YEDF is a great boost to the youth enterprise growth, strict measures should be applied to ensure all the borrowed funds are timely repaid, for other potential beneficiaries to be awarded, since the fund operates on a revolving stream structure.
